Cobalt driver hit children standing on the crosswalk

In the city of Andijan, a Cobalt vehicle hit two children standing on the crosswalk. According to the press service of the regional Traffic Police, this incident occurred on April 3 at around 18:47 in “Hamdo‘stlik” MFY, Mustaqillik Street.

The driver, D.M., born in 1995, was moving from a residential area and hit the children due to inattention. The injured minors were sent to the doctors of the Andijan branch of the Republican Scientific Center for Emergency Medical Aid for urgent medical assistance.

Currently, a forensic medical examination has been appointed by the Andijan City Traffic Police officer to determine the severity of the children’s injuries, and an investigation is ongoing.

Videos have spread on social networks and are holding the attention of viewers. The incident caused concern and anger among the region’s residents, and activists emphasize the need to bring child safety issues back on the agenda.
