Today, April 8, an unusual incident occurred in the Almazar district of Tashkent—a Leapmotor electric vehicle suddenly caught fire. The Main Department of Emergency Situations of the capital provided official information on this situation.
It is noted that around 21:14, the relevant services received a report that an electric car was burning in front of house No. 2, located on Beruni Street in the Almazar district. Rescue crews were immediately dispatched to the scene, and fire and rescue equipment arrived at the scene in just 4 minutes.
As a result of the prompt actions of specialists, the fire was completely extinguished by 21:28. The fact that the incident was brought under control in a short time served to prevent large-scale damage.
According to preliminary data, there were no casualties as a result of the fire. Authorities are currently working to determine the causes and factors of the incident.
This situation once again shows the need to pay serious attention to the safety of electric vehicles, especially the risks associated with their battery system.
