Major saves drowning child in Qashqadaryo

An incident in the Qashqadaryo region has left many moved. Thanks to the prompt and courageous actions of an Emergency Situations Ministry officer, another young life has been saved.

The incident occurred on May 23 at approximately 17:00 in the Bogbon neighborhood of the Kitob district. According to preliminary information, a 9-year-old boy lost his balance while riding his bicycle and accidentally fell into the Qashqadaryo River.

The child was at risk of drowning in the strong current. At that moment, Major Khusniddin Sharapov, an officer of the Ministry of Emergency Situations living nearby, noticed the situation and rushed to help. He jumped into the water without hesitation and rescued the boy.

Thanks to this swift and heroic action, the child survived. He was subsequently given a medical examination and handed over to his relatives. It is reported that the boy is currently in good condition.
