In the first half against Crystal Palace, problems arose, only Onana saved the hosts. In the second half, former United goalkeeper Henderson could not get past the wall. He saved dangerous shots from Bruno Fernandes and Ugarte in a few minutes. Mateta did not miss his chance in a set piece situation and sent the ball into the net after it had come off the crossbar. The forward also scored the second goal in a counterattack at the end of the match, after receiving a pass from Munoz.

The hosts suffered another setback in the match - in the 76th minute, Lisandro Martinez was injured again. The Argentine defender had been struggling with health problems this season, had shown good form and had become one of the team's leaders. But his season is likely over. Doctors treated him on the pitch for six minutes, before he was carried off the pitch on a stretcher in tears.

Seven defeats in the first 13 home matches of the season are Manchester United's worst run since the 1893/94 season. That is, it has not happened in 131 years.

Starting goalkeeper Stefan Ortega passed the ball to the vulnerable Mateo Kovacic, who was intercepted by Declan Rice. The ball reached Havertz, but Kai, in his usual style, ruined the excellent opportunity - he shot at the goal from almost an unguarded goal, but the ball went wide.

After the break, the “City” continued to try to put the opponent off the track: in the first 10 minutes of the second half, 58 percent of the ball was held, and the score was equalized during this period. The away team's players celebrated the return goal with excessive emotion and, losing their composure, conceded a goal within two minutes - the team again made a mistake near its own penalty area. This time, Phil Foden's pass from the wing to the center was intercepted by Thomas Partey and he wasted no time in shooting - the ball ricocheted off Stones and into the corner of the goal.

Six minutes later, 18-year-old Miles Lewis-Skelly killed the intrigue. The young defender entered the penalty area from the left wing during one of Arsenal's attacks, received the ball and dribbled past several opponents before placing the ball into the far corner. He celebrated his first goal in the Premier League by mocking Haaland, which was due to the fact that the Norwegian striker treated him with disdain during the first round of the teams.

With the score at 1:3, City rushed forward with great force and therefore missed counterattacks. There were no dangerous situations around Raya's goal - even substitutions did not help: in the 72nd minute, Kevin de Bruyne and James McAtey came on. The Belgian captain also failed to revive his team's game - Haaland's shot was the only shot of the second half for the "City".

Martinelli and Havertz created chances for Arsenal on the counterattacks. In one of these attacks, Orte had difficulty saving the Brazilian's shot from outside the penalty area. In the 76th minute, Gabriel entered the penalty area and provided the ball to Kai, who was in a more favorable position than him - the German player did not make a mistake this time. City were completely defeated by 17-year-old Ethan Nwaneri, who came off the bench - in the 90th + 3rd minute he fired an irreparable shot from long range. Guardiola suffered the heaviest defeat of his coaching career - 1:5.

The big win saw Arteta close the gap on Liverpool to six points, while City remained in fourth place (level with Newcastle on 41 points) and could overtake Chelsea if they play on Monday.
