Jawahir Sindarov is "burning" the prestigious tournament...
The "2025 Freestyle Chess Grand Slam Weissenhaus" tournament, with a prize fund of $750,000, is in full swing. In this prestigious competition, our country's chess players - Nodirbek Abdusattorov and Javokhir Sindarov - are also competing with the world's strongest grandmasters.

The tournament is held in a round-robin format, with each participant playing against all their opponents in a rapid format in a round-robin format. The eight strongest chess players advance to the playoff stage. In the playoff stage, each pair will play two classic games. If the total score is equal, the winner will be determined by tiebreak. The time control is 90 minutes and 30 seconds of extra time for each move (90+30).

Our young talented chess player Javokhir Sindarov is participating very successfully in the competition. So far, he has defeated such strong opponents as Vincent Kaymar (Germany), Levon Aronian (USA), Vladimir Fedoseev (Russia) and Magnus Carlsen (Norway). In particular, the victory over one of the best chess players in the world - Magnus Carlsen - allowed Sindarov to remain among the leaders in the tournament standings. As a result of his success, he currently has the same number of points as American Fabiano Caruana.

From the first days of the tournament, Fabiano Caruana has been leading. Nodirbek Abdusattorov is close to the danger zone with 2.5 points. It is worth noting that after 4 days, the participants who took 9th and 10th places in the overall standings will leave the tournament.

So far, Gukesh Dommaraju and Magnus Carlsen remain in last place with 2 points. This is considered one of the unexpected results of the tournament. However, there are still many matches ahead in the tournament, so it is possible that the standings will change completely.

We wish Jawohir Sindarov and Nodirbek Abdusattorov continued success in their future competitions!
