Uzbekistan's young hockey players qualify for Group A at the World Championship
The Uzbek U18 junior hockey team participated in the world championship for the first time in history.

The games of the III Division B group of the world championship held in Thailand ended successfully for the Uzbeks.

The Uzbek juniors defeated Thailand 3:2 in the decisive match and secured a place in the III Division A group of the world championship.

In previous matches, the Uzbeks defeated South Africa 12:0, Luxembourg 12:1, Turkmenistan 8:2 and Bosnia 11:3.

The head coach of the Uzbek U18 team was Latvian Normunds Seyjes.

Rustam Ergashev became the best goalkeeper of the tournament. Jasurbek Rustamkhanov was named the best striker, with 14 goals and 8 assists. The tournament's top scorer was Turkmenistan's Sultanhamit Vahitov, with 17 goals and 7 assists.
