
The Women's World Boxing Championship has come to an end in Nis, Serbia. The Uzbek national team successfully participated in it, winning 1 silver and 3 bronze medals for the first time in its history.
In the final fight in the -66 kg weight category, Navbahor Hamidova lost to the Olympic and world champion, Busenaz Surmenli from Turkey, and was awarded a silver medal. Nevertheless, she became the first female boxer from Uzbekistan to enter the ring in the final of the world championships among adults.
