Famous Russian boxer Artur Beterbiev said that he was stunned by the offer he received from the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov. The fact is that Kadyrov proposed to name the new sports complex being built in Grozny after Beterbiev.
The athlete himself commented on this on his social media page:
“I never expected such an offer! This is a great honor for me and it is difficult to express my gratitude from the bottom of my heart. Ramzan Akhmatovich has always highly appreciated my modest sporting achievements. His confidence gives me strength,” Beterbiev wrote.
According to reports, the universal sports complex being built in Grozny will have a modern infrastructure and will simultaneously host two Olympic sports - fencing and boxing.
The editors of Zamin.uz will continue to observe how this sports venue, named after Beterbiev, can be a source of inspiration for the younger generation. How do you rate such an offer?
