
The CAFA U-17 Championship 2025 has started with a bang, and today, young Uzbek players got off to a successful start.
The Uzbek U-16 team, led by Sergey Chigodaev, took to the field against the Kyrgyz Republic and showed an attractive, attacking game. The match, which took place at the “Dostlik” stadium, kicked off at 20:30 Tashkent time and presented the audience with a full-fledged goal-scoring spectacle.

In the first half of the match, our compatriots took control. Ahrorbek Ravshanbekov opened the scoring in the 24th minute. No matter how hard the opponent tried to put pressure, our guys showed their superiority in every episode.
It was not easy to overcome the opposition in the second half - especially the dismissal of Islam Ravshanov in the 52nd minute made the situation a little more complicated. But the team did not lose heart and became more determined.
Although Kanatbek Rakhatov scored a goal in the 54th minute for the Kyrgyz side, it was not enough to equalize the score. On the contrary, the Uzbeks acted even more decisively.
In the 65th and 71st minutes, Laziz Abduraimov scored twice, one of which was from a penalty. Then, goals scored by Rustam Aliev in the 74th minute and Humoyun Sindarov in the 90+4th minute made the score look big - 5:1!
Squad and reserves
Among the main players who played for Uzbekistan were Olim Shomurotov, Abubakir Rakhimov, Muhammadaziz Ruziboev, Farrukh Khayitmurodov and others. In the reserves, players such as Sindarov, Aliev, Atabekov were ready and made good use of their opportunities.
Other group match
The Turkmens won the match between Turkmenistan and Afghanistan by a narrow margin, and the competition in this group is getting tougher.
