
The prestigious international boxing tournament, which started on May 24 in Bangkok, Thailand, is in full swing. Along with leading boxers from around the world, members of the Uzbek national team are also participating in it.
Today, the focus is on the quarter-final stage, and the fights have become even more intense. According to the information released by the Uzbekistan Boxing Federation, on May 28, 6 boxers representing our country will enter the ring for a place in the semi-finals.

-85 kg: Nusrat Tokhirov - Hussein Iashash (Jordan)
-51 kg: Sabina Bobokulova - Moon Gaeon (South Korea)
-70 kg: Aisha Toirova - Anastasia Chernokolenko (Ukraine)
-75 kg: Javokhir Abdurakhimov - Timur Nurseitov (Kazakhstan)
-57 kg: Nigina Uktamova - Ge Yaqi (China)
-75 kg: Aziza Zokirova - Zhu Yashu (China)
All Uzbek boxers will take to the ring against experienced and strong opponents in different weight categories. Only by winning these matches can you advance to the semifinals, and this stage is considered an important step towards Olympic qualification and medals.
Especially for our girls - Sabina Bobokulova, Aisha Toirova, Nigina Uktamova and Aziza Zokirova, this competition is a great opportunity to once again show themselves in the international arena. They have been in perfect shape under the guidance of their coaches during the last preparations.
