Manchester City recently announced that three key members of Pep Guardiola’s coaching team — Juanma Lillo, Inigo Dominguez, and Carlos Vicens — will leave after the 2024/25 season. Vicens is set to become head coach of Portugal’s Benfica. These changes are part of an effort to refresh the club’s training methods and approach.
According to renowned football journalist Fabrizio Romano, the club is already considering new candidates for the vacancies, including Kolo Touré and Pep Lijnders. Both have top-level experience — Lijnders was a long-time assistant under Jürgen Klopp at Liverpool.
