Hojimat Erkinov explained why he gifted the BYD Champion car to his brother

Uzbekistan national team and Al Wahda club winger Hojimat Erkinov gave an interview to Championat.asia.

— You have secured a World Cup spot with the national team. Now you have a bit of a break. How are you spending your free time?
— I am spending this break actively. My time goes to outdoor errands, gym sessions, and playing tennis.

— The national team players were gifted BYD Champion cars. Some gave theirs to their parents, others to brothers, or nephews. What did you do with your car?
— I gave it to my brother because he played a huge role in my football career.

— We know you mostly came off the bench for Al Wahda lately. Will we see Hojimat Erkinov in this team next season?
— I don’t know yet for sure. There are negotiations with 2–3 UAE clubs, including Al Wahda. Time will tell.

— Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
— If I’m healthy, maybe in Europe, maybe in Asia. We’ll see then.

— An interesting question: an hour’s conversation with Cristiano Ronaldo or playing one match with Lionel Messi in the same team. Which would you choose?
