Joel Kojo, known for his dangerous attacking play and currently playing for Iran’s famous club “Esteghlal”, may return to the Uzbekistan championship. This was reported by football journalist Narzulla Saidullaev via his Telegram channel.
According to available information, Karshi’s “Nasaf” team is showing serious interest in the experienced striker. However, due to the existing contract with the Iranian club, a full transfer is currently impossible. That is why the Karshi side is considering bringing Kojo in on a loan deal.
“Esteghlal” does not intend to let him go easily
According to the information, Joel Kojo, who was born in Tajikistan and later became well-known in Uzbekistan through the “Dinamo” club, transferred to Iran’s “Esteghlal” club in January this year. The Iranians paid $400,000 for the transfer and signed a 3.5-year contract with the player.
It is precisely this long-term contract and high transfer fee that are complicating the negotiations between the clubs. Nevertheless, the “Nasaf” management is studying the possibility of bringing Kojo in on a temporary loan to strengthen the attacking line.
Will Nasaf’s attack become stronger?
In the upcoming rounds, Karshi’s side is seriously fighting for the championship. To further increase their attacking effectiveness, they need just such an experienced player. Kojo’s return may not only strengthen “Nasaf”, but also add intrigue to the entire championship.
Fans and analysts are watching this potential deal with great interest. If “Nasaf” manages to sign Joel, it will be a big achievement for the team.
Now all attention will be focused on negotiations between the two clubs. If the Karshi side’s efforts are successful, the Uzbekistan championship will once again witness a high-level foreign player. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
