A period of major changes has begun at Tashkent’s "Pakhtakor" club — the team has officially terminated the contract with Portuguese coach Pedro Moreira and his coaching staff. According to the club’s press service, cooperation with Moreira and his five assistants was ended on the basis of mutual agreement.
This decision was the result of constructive dialogue between the "Pakhtakor" management and the coaching staff, and the club leadership expressed gratitude to the Portuguese specialists for their contribution to the team. All the coaches were also wished success in their future endeavors. These changes are believed to be linked to the new goals and strategic directions ahead of the club.
It was also announced that the contract with Portuguese midfielder Jonatan Lukka, who played for "Pakhtakor", was terminated. Lukka, due to a serious injury sustained in May, could no longer help the team, and according to doctors’ conclusions, it will take a long time for the player to fully recover.
These changes in the club are explained by the new goals and ambitions ahead of the team. Fans are expecting high results from the new coaches and players of "Pakhtakor" in the upcoming season. The entire football community is interested in how the new era for the team will begin.
