During the hot phase of summer, the financial analysis of transfers made by English clubs attracts the interest of many fans.
According to the latest report prepared by experts from the international portal Transfermarkt, which specializes in transfers, on the eve of the new season the club with the highest expenses remains “Liverpool”. The title contenders spent 308.86 million euros to strengthen the squad and brought in a total of six new players.
Among the new players who joined “Liverpool” are bright representatives of world football: playmaker Florian Wirtz (125 million euros), central forward Hugo Ekitike (95 million euros), and left-back Milos Kerkez (46.9 million euros).
“Chelsea” club is in second place. The Londoners, using this summer’s transfer window, spent 243.77 million euros on the squad. The aristocrats’ most expensive signing was winger Jamie Gittins (64.3 million euros). The club also added two central forwards — Joao Pedro (63.7 million euros) and Liam Diap (35.5 million euros).
