Saudi Arabian football clubs are exploring the opportunity to sign Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski to their team, Euro-football.ru reported.
The Polish footballer is currently playing in Catalonia and does not plan to move to another team this summer. However, Saudi clubs are ready to offer Lewandowski a long-term contract and a high salary.
The clubs have started negotiations with people around the player. Barcelona’s head coach Hans-Dieter Flick is counting on Lewandowski.
The club management will not prevent the player from leaving if a profitable offer is made. Lewandowski’s current contract expires in the middle of next year.
In August, Lewandowski will turn 37 years old. He is one of the main strikers at Barcelona.
His experience and skills greatly help the team. The interest from Saudi clubs is related to his international reputation and achievements.
For now, Lewandowski has not made a final decision about his future.
