Seven of our boxers will enter the ring at the Asian Championship

From July 30 to August 12 this year, the city of Bangkok, Thailand, is hosting the Asian Championship for youth and boxers under the age of 22. This prestigious event has brought together the continent’s leading boxing schools, witnessing top-level bouts.

In today’s scheduled matches for the youth division, seven of our promising athletes are expected to step into the ring, representing our country with pride. They will compete against some of Asia’s strongest opponents in their respective weight classes:

• In the -48 kg category, Maftuna Musurmonova will face Alanoood Alghamdi (Saudi Arabia).
• In the -54 kg category, Muslima Turgunova will meet Zhanel Imantaeva (Kazakhstan).
• At -57 kg, Robiya Ravshanova will fight Yubeen Seo (South Korea).
• In the -50 kg division, Odilshoh Halimov will face Akash Badwar (India).
• At -75 kg, Muhammadjon Yaqubboev will go up against Amirmahdi Sabzi (Iran).
• In the -80 kg class, Norbek Abdullaev will face Lokesh (India).
• In the +80 kg category, Islam Salikhov will challenge Beksultan Kairatuly (Kazakhstan).

According to the organizers, the championship features 367 skilled boxers from 25 countries. Among them, 220 are male athletes, while the remaining 147 are female competitors.

This championship serves as a crucial platform for young athletes to gain international experience, showcase their skills, and prepare for major future tournaments. Boxing fans are eagerly supporting our team and anticipating high achievements.
