At the Asian Championship among youth under 22 and juniors, our boxers in Thailand are achieving results higher than expected. As you know, from July 30 to August 12, the city of Bangkok is hosting this prestigious competition.
In the morning, our young boxers entered the ring and delighted fans with new victories, while in the second half of the day, representatives of the national team under 22 demonstrated their skills in the quarterfinals.
- In the 55 kg weight category, Abdullaziz Abdunazarov knocked out the representative of Hong Kong, Kit Fu Tang, in the very first round and delighted the fans.
- In the 60 kg category, Abdurakhmon Mahmudjonov confidently defeated Kyrgyzstani Erlan Ergashov with a score of 5:0.
- In the 65 kg category, Jahongir Zayniddinov defeated the host, Natthangphong Pimsan, with a score of 5:0 and advanced to the quarterfinals.
Among the girls, our representatives are also achieving victory after victory:
- In the 48 kg weight category, Robiyakhon Bakhtiyorova dominated over Sri Lankan athlete Chathuri Siriwarda in a bout with a score of 5:0 and advanced to the semifinals.
- In the 51 kg category, Gulsevar Ganieva, having defeated Chinese Junya Feng with a score of 5:0, also reached the semifinals.
- In the 54 kg category, Uzukjamol Yunusova easily defeated the Japanese Seina Adachi — 5:0.
- In the 57 kg weight category, Khumorabonu Mamajonova knocked out Indonesian Nurul Izza Nukuhehe in the second round and secured yet another victory at the tournament.
These results at the competition once again demonstrated how well prepared our national team, youth, and representatives of the older generation are. Our boxers show great dedication and sporting spirit at every stage of the tournament.
Such a successful participation of our young representatives serves as a source of pride and inspiration for fans. Even greater victories at the championship are ahead!
