Asian Championship: today our young boxers will enter the ring for the semi-final

In Bangkok, Thailand, the Asian Championship among U-22 and youth has entered an intense phase. In the competition, which lasts from July 30 to August 12, our national team met the last day of the quarterfinals in full squad. This result indicates the readiness and competitiveness of our young boxers.

On today's schedule, our U-19 team fighters will hold decisive bouts for reaching the semi-finals. In each weight category, our boxers will enter the ring and fight for medals. Below are the athletes participating today and their opponents:

-50 kg: Odilshoh Halimov – Kiatitsak Sukwe (Thailand);
-55 kg: Abdullaziz Abdunazarov – Shivam (India);
-60 kg: Abdurakhmon Mahmudjonov – Kun Wang (China);
-65 kg: Jahongir Zayniddinov – Seyoung Song (South Korea);
-70 kg: Abdullaziz Jo‘raqulov – Haosheng Zhang (China);
-75 kg: Muhammadjon Yakubboev – Ismail Orazmiradov (Turkmenistan);
-80 kg: Norbek Abdullaev – Jennan Suo (China);
-85 kg: Samir Sobirov – Troung Kiet Li (Vietnam);
-90 kg: Muhammad Rizo Siddiqov – Hemant Sangwan (India);
+90 kg: Islam Salikhov – Geonhui Lee (South Korea).

It should be noted that all our guys fought with confidence up to the quarterfinals and represented themselves at a high level in the international arena. Even though there are difficult opponents, our young athletes are going out for victory.

According to the Uzbekistan Boxing Federation, our young boxers have shown a high level of preparation and technique in this competition. The results in each weight division may pave the way for new achievements for our country.
