As the summer transfer market in European football enters its peak phase, one of the new and unexpected pieces of news concerns Turkish talented midfielder Hakan Chalkhanoglu, who currently plays for the Italian club "Inter". According to reports, the prestigious Saudi Arabian club "Al-Nassr" is showing serious interest in the 31-year-old footballer. This was reported by well-known journalist Gianluigi Longari.
According to him, representatives of the Saudi team have now established contact with people close to Chalkhanoglu and have begun discussing a possible agreement. This fact shows that Al-Nassr’s interest in the player is not just a simple rumor.
In fact, talks about Hakan had already emerged back in July of this year. At that time, various reports circulated about his possible return to Turkey, and even two of the country's leading clubs, "Galatasaray" and "Fenerbahçe", were said to have made him serious offers. However, at that time the player himself openly stated his intention to remain at "Inter".
According to the Transfermarkt portal, the current market value of the experienced midfielder is approximately 30 million euros. His current contract with the Milan club runs until the summer of 2027, which makes the negotiation process for interested clubs even more complicated.
Interestingly, Al-Nassr recently signed former Barcelona central defender Iñigo Martínez. This indicates the club’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the squad and remain competitive on an international level.
If this transfer goes through, Hakan Chalkhanoglu could become one of the most prestigious and biggest stars not only in Saudi Arabia but also in the whole of Asia. At the same time, this move is likely to open a new chapter in his personal career.
