The 18th round Super League match, which attracted great public interest, between “Dinamo” and “Pakhtakor” ended with a score of 1:1. After the match, Dinamo’s head coach Vadim Abramov took part in the press conference and shared his thoughts and comments about the game.
The experienced coach, first of all, did not hide that he was dissatisfied with the result:
— Unfortunately, once again, when we were leading in the score, we couldn’t keep the win. In this, of course, we are to blame ourselves. In the second half, we gave the initiative to the opponent, acted incorrectly in defense, and made many mistakes in midfield. It felt as if we were playing without a middle line. When the score was 1:0, we could have caught the opponent on counterattacks, but instead, we ourselves were left behind in the opponent’s counterattacks. Pakhtakor’s goal looked like an offside, but now there’s no point in emphasizing it. As a result, we recorded a draw that did not satisfy us.
The coach also spoke about the condition of his player Ulugbek Khoshimov:
— For now, there is no exact information. Tomorrow we will know the results of the examination. I think it’s not a serious injury. Perhaps he won’t be able to play for one or two weeks.
The coach was asked about the difference between playing at home and away:
— I would not call this psychological pressure. Perhaps in home matches, the desire to show ourselves is too great, and because of that, we forget the correct style of play. Football must be played correctly — then the result will come.
On the topic of the red card, Abramov openly admitted he was surprised:
— Honestly, I did not understand what happened. The referees didn’t even go to VAR. Our sent-off player is polite and disciplined, not the type to get a red card. Why he was sent off is also a mystery to me.
Answering the question about a possible offside in Abdikholikov’s goal, he said:
— I think there was an offside. But the referees thought for a long time and eventually counted the goal.
General opinion about refereeing:
— We are all human, mistakes happen. In this refereeing, such situations also occurred.
On the question about the fight for the championship, Abramov answered firmly:
— We will never withdraw from the fight. We still have matches with “Neftchi” and “Nasaf” ahead. We will fight until the end.
For the fans, these words mean that Dinamo has not lost everything yet and will enter the field in each match for the maximum result. The remaining matches will undoubtedly make the championship intrigue even hotter.
