In the English Premier League, Tottenham aims to secure a place among the top teams and is ready to take a serious step in the summer transfer window. According to sources, the London club is looking to strengthen its squad by trying to sign young and talented Brazilian attacking player Savio from Manchester City.
Interestingly, the 21-year-old player himself is reportedly open to moving to the capital club. This could give Tottenham a small but important advantage in the negotiation process.
However, insider journalist Jack Pitt-Brooke reports that Manchester City currently has no intention of selling Savio. Pep Guardiola is not even considering the idea of allowing his increasingly impressive protégé to join a rival club.
Last season, Savio made 48 appearances in all competitions, scoring 3 goals and providing 13 assists. These numbers are quite respectable for his age.
The player’s current contract with Manchester City runs until 2029, and Transfermarkt values him at around €50 million. Therefore, Tottenham would have to invest substantial financial resources to make the deal happen.
If City does not change its stance, the transfer will likely remain just a dream for Tottenham. Nonetheless, the interest in such a promising young player once again shows how fierce the competition is in the Premier League.
