The management of “Juventus” is planning to sell prolific striker Dušan Vlahović to one of Europe’s grand clubs. The Turin superclub is waiting for offers from big teams until the summer transfer market closes. It is said that behind this decision lie factors such as both financial benefit and the renewal of the team’s roster.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, “Barcelona” may give the offer desired by the Turin side for the 25-year-old player. The Catalans have long been looking for a central forward who can replace Robert Lewandowski. Therefore, it is emphasized that Vlahović’s profile matches their long-term plans.
“Barcelona” also expressed interest in Dušan Vlahović during last season. This time, however, the likelihood that negotiations will move to a practical stage is assessed as high, since the need for rotation and reinforcement in the attacking line remains.
Vlahović has taken the field in 145 matches for “Juventus,” has struck opponents’ nets 58 times, and has delivered 14 goal assists to his teammates. His contract with the Turin superclub ends next summer. Therefore, this transfer window is being seen as one of the last opportunities for the club.
So that a player of Dušan Vlahović’s level does not leave for free with free-agent status, the Turin side wants to sell him by September 1. At the same time, for the purchasing sides this deadline is also expected to be a factor accelerating the trade negotiations.
