The management of "Manchester City" is not willing to release the team’s main goalkeeper Ederson Moraes to "Galatasaray," considered one of the strongest clubs in Turkey.
According to reports, the Istanbul side offered the English club 10 million euros as a fee for the Brazilian keeper. However, the "Citizens" considered this offer too low and refused.
Journalist Fabrizio Romano stated that the Manchester club is demanding at least 25 million euros for the transfer of the experienced goalkeeper. This figure is currently difficult for the Turkish club to accept.
Another well-known insider, Florian Plettenberg, wrote that "Galatasaray" will not wait long for Ederson’s transfer. If the deal does not go through, the Turks are seriously considering the option of bringing in "Porto" goalkeeper Diogo Costa as an alternative.
According to sources, the Istanbul side has already managed to send the first offer to the Portuguese club. They are offering 20 million euros and additional bonuses for the 25-year-old goalkeeper.
Interestingly, experts from Transfermarkt value Diogo Costa at around 40 million euros. Thus, if the deal succeeds, "Galatasaray" could gain significant reinforcement.
Therefore, while negotiations over Ederson are still ongoing, the Turkish club is already looking at a backup option. On the eve of the new season, the question of which keeper "Galatasaray" will sign is generating great interest in the football community.
