Today, the Uzbekistan national team began an important training camp at the National Football Center for preparation for the CAFA tournament. Head coach Timur Kapadze shared his thoughts about the goals and preparation of the team on the first day of the camp.
"Hello, dear fans. We have started the camp, and ahead of us is the CAFA tournament. Of course, not all players could attend today due to a match. However, they will join the preparation process tomorrow. Our legionnaires will join in a few days. We are preparing with the players who are here. Our first match will be on August 30, and we will prepare for it thoroughly."
Kapadze also highlighted the importance of each player in the team and emphasized their individual roles: "Each player has their role. Jaloliddin Masharipov is an important player who strengthens our team, and he will definitely be crucial for us. This is a normal situation in football. I believe he will recover soon and return to action."
Speaking about the match schedule, Kapadze emphasized the significance of the game against the national team of Oman, which has a new coach, Carlos Queiroz. He sees this opponent as a great sparring partner. He also mentioned: "In the match with Oman, our legionnaires won’t be able to help, but we will fight for the best result with the players we have."
The Uzbekistan national team will play against Oman on August 30 at the "Olympia" stadium. The match will start at 19:30.
