From August 29 to September 8, the prestigious CAFA NATIONS CUP 2025 will be held in Dushanbe and Tashkent, and ahead of the tournament the Iran national football team has announced the squad that will travel to Tajikistan.
The squad was presented to the public, and it includes both young and experienced players.
Iran national team squad:
Payam Niazmand, Saeed Hosseini, Nima Mirzazad, Omid Noorafkan, Mohammad Naderi, Amin Hezbavi, Arif Aghasi, Mohammad Kanani, Ali Nemati, Arya Yousefi, Ramin Rezaeian, Mohammad Mohebi, Mehdi Hashemnejad, Alireza Koushki, Saman Ghoddos, Rouzbeh Cheshmi, Mohammad Khodabandelou, Mohammad Gharbani, Alireza Jahanbakhsh, Mehdi Mohebi, Mehdi Tikdari, Mehdi Taremi, Amir Hosseinzadeh, Mehran Ahmadi, Shahriyar Moghanlou, Ali Alipour, Majid Aliari.
Not called up to the camp:
Mohammad Khalifa, Saeed Saharkhizan, Danial Iri, Mohammad Mehdi Zare, Javad Hosseinnezhad, Amir Mohammad Razzaghniya and Reza Gandipour will not join the national team camp due to their involvement with the Olympic team. In addition, Saeed Ezatolahi, Sardar Azmoun, Mohammad Karimi, Majid Hosseini, Ali Gholizadeh and Mehdi Ghaedi will miss the matches due to injuries. Alireza Beiranvand is absent due to suspension.
According to experts, despite these absences, Iran will still field a strong and competitive squad. The team is preparing to face tough opponents in the tournament.
