The transfer of Nicolas Jackson, who was expected to move to Bayern Munich, failed. This was officially announced by the Munich club's sporting director, Max Eberl. He stated that Chelsea had made the decision to bring the striker back and keep him at the club's disposal, so the agreement was terminated.
Eberl explained the situation as follows: "Chelsea said we would send the player back. We had agreed with them on all the terms of the contract. The attacker had also arrived in Germany for a medical examination. But now we must send him back to London. Jackson is a Chelsea player."
As a reminder, Chelsea striker Liam Delap suffered an injury yesterday in the 3rd round of the Premier League. For this reason, the London club decided not to sell Jackson to Bayern Munich. That is, maintaining the attacking line was prioritized at Stamford Bridge - a last-minute change changed the Munich team's plan.
In short, the fully agreed-upon transfer "drowned" at the end: the process that reached medical examinations regressed due to Chelsea's internal situation, while Jackson remains in London for now.
