On the eve of the transfer window closing, Manchester City are signing a contract with PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma. According to insider Fabrizio Romano, the deal will cost the “Citizens” €39m; in addition, the Italian keeper has agreed a 5-year contract with the English giant. The annual salary is 13 million euros, plus a bonus of 2 million euros.
At the Manchester club, Donnarumma will replace Ederson, who is moving to Turkey’s Fenerbahçe. This step, without exaggeration, is aimed at maintaining stability in the key position for City, continuing the traditional requirements of organizing the defense from the back and building play with the ball.
The 26-year-old goalkeeper has defended PSG’s colors since 2021; before moving to France he played for AC Milan in his homeland. Now he is heading to England—on the verge of opening a new chapter with the Citizens.
