FIFA President Gianni Infantino, who is visiting our country, continues to familiarize himself with the reforms and innovations being implemented in Uzbek football. In particular, the delegation members visited the National Football Center built in the Yukorichirchik district and familiarized themselves with its capabilities, the UFA press service reported.
It is known that two years ago, Infantino came to this area, laid the symbolic brick for the construction of the center, and took part in the presentation of projects. Now, several national teams can train at the center simultaneously. Modern stadiums, educational buildings, gyms, and a hotel with all amenities for football players have been put into operation.
It was also noted that a swimming pool, training hall, and rehabilitation departments have been organized in the sports medicine center. It was reported that modern equipment has been imported from abroad and advanced methods have been introduced to prevent injuries and restore the players in a short time.
The FIFA delegation also familiarized themselves with the activities of the Football Specialists Training Center, research departments, the VAR system, the national team training center, and the Republican Football Academy.
During the visit, Gianni Infantino met with members of the Uzbekistan national team and congratulated them on their World Cup qualification.
"I congratulate you on the historic result. This achievement is the result of the attention paid to sports and football in your country. A great responsibility lies before you - to participate worthily in the world championship. You are bringing joy to millions of fans. I am confident that the world will once again witness the potential of Uzbek football through your team," Infantino said.
The FIFA delegation highly appreciated the infrastructure of the National Football Center built in Uzbekistan, noting that all conditions have been created here for the national teams to thoroughly prepare for international competitions.
