At the World Championship among adults in Liverpool, the second final of the day with the participation of our representatives was also full of spectators.
20-year-old talented boxer Javokhir Ummataliyev, who competed for our country in the -80 kg weight category, faced Frenchman Yojerlen César. In the three-round match against him, Ummataliyev took full advantage with accurate shots and reliable actions.
The judges unanimously awarded the fight with a score of 5:0 in favor of the Uzbek boxer. Thus, despite his young age, Javokhir Ummataliyev won the world champion title and achieved another brilliant achievement among our boxers.
As a result of this victory, the total number of gold medals of the Uzbekistan delegation has reached three. It should be recalled that yesterday Fazliddin Erkinboyev presented our country with the first gold medal, and today Asadkhoja Moydinkhojayev won the second gold. Also, in the women's competitions, the athletes of our national team won three bronze medals.
The final days of the tournament, which will take place on September 14, have not yet ended. Currently, several other Uzbek boxers will compete for gold medals: To'rabek Habibullayev will face Brazil, Navbahor Hamidova will face Kazakhstan, Abdumalik Xalokov will face another Brazilian boxer, Akmaljon Isroilov will face England, and Jahongir Zokirov will face neighboring Kazakhstan.
