In the fourth round of the English Premier League, Manchester City defeated Manchester United 3-0 in a city derby at Etihad. Following this difficult match, the visitors' head coach, Ruben Amorim, answered journalists' questions at a press conference.
Amorim noted that the team is still in the process of formation:
- We are forming a new squad and looking for opportunities against strong opponents. Every time you have the same question - why don't you play well? Honestly, we played better today in some aspects, but we lagged behind the opponent in the smallest details.
The Portuguese manager also recalled last season:
- Last year we drew, and then we beat City. So, there is an opportunity, but now we lack stability. The players are putting in all their effort on the field, but they can be even stronger.
At the same time, Amorim confidently stated that victories would return:
- It's difficult to find the right words now, but we will continue to build a team. This process will take time, but we still need to achieve victories.
Despite the defeat in the city derby, the coach expressed his high confidence in his team, believing that they will continue to develop and reach new heights.
