Today, September 18, the National Olympic Committee held an award ceremony for athletes who won prizes at the 2025 World Boxing Championships in Liverpool.
Members of the national team and their coaches who have worthily defended the honor of Uzbekistan and achieved high results on the world stage were awarded the President's gift - valuable cash prizes and BYD cars.
The ceremony was attended by the Presidential Envoy for Sports of Uzbekistan Odil Abdurakhmonov, Minister of Sports Adham Ikromov, First Deputy Chairman of the NOC Otabek Umarov, as well as representatives of the wider sports community and the media.
According to the decision, the six boxers who won gold medals at the World Championship were awarded a BYD car along with 15,000 US dollars. The silver medalist received 7,000 dollars, and the bronze medalist received 3,750 dollars. The coaches of the winning athletes were also not left out of the spotlight - they were awarded 7,000 dollars and car keys.
