FIFA President Gianni Infantino on his official page sincerely congratulated Uzbekistan on hosting the next major milestone - the FIFA U-20 World Cup. At the same time, he returned to the 2024 Futsal World Cup held in our country and shared his memories of that final.
According to Infantino, the futsal world championship in Tashkent was held at a high level and drew the attention of the whole world to Uzbekistan. It was emphasized that in the last match, the Brazilian national team, which won the championship for the sixth time - a record in history - once again demonstrated its happiness and excitement.
The new trust placed in our country by the FIFA head - the co-hosting of the 2027 U-20 World Cup - is a high appraisal of the football infrastructure, the culture of impeccable hosting of events, and the support of fans. Infantino noted that he was pleased with the tolerant atmosphere in the stadiums and arenas of Uzbekistan, the tireless use of the stands, and the true love for football.
These responsible events are a great opportunity for the further popularization of football from rural areas to cities, the development of youth sports, and the development of domestic tourism and services. Now the most important task is to perfectly prepare for the U-20 World Cup, create a stage for young talents, and once again show ourselves to the world through our work on the field.
