Cannavaro: Every game is a test, we will play an attacking game against Kuwait

A press conference was held with the participation of the new coach of the Uzbekistan national team, Fabio Cannavaro. The Italian specialist emphasized that he sees every match as a "trial," requiring serious preparation and maximum attention: even in friendly matches, it is impossible to enter the field unprepared.

Before the match against Kuwait, Cannavaro clarified the squad issue: the players called up for two matches will be used effectively, the team arrived in Tashkent two days ago, and one hundred percent dedicated work is expected from the players. He stated that he would not make the attack a "red line" throughout the match, but would strive to demonstrate an initiative and attacking style.

Consultations with Timur Kapadze and the entire headquarters will continue with the selection of the main squad. Cannavaro noted that he will have separate discussions with the players tonight and will further clarify the tasks on the field.

According to the specialist, there are casualties due to injuries, therefore Aziz Turgunbayev and Umar Eshmurodov were additionally involved in the training camp. Changes to the official list will be announced by the UFA. Cannavaro supports cooperation with local coaches: Kapadze is currently assisting at headquarters, and possibly another local specialist will join.

In tactics, he prioritizes mutual understanding over numbers: "A game with three central defenders may seem defensive outwardly, but it serves to launch a quick attack. The most important thing for me is that the 11 players on the field perfectly understand each other." Cannavaro added that the lessons he learned from skilled coaches during his playing career will be applied to the team's performance.

The match against Kuwait kicks off tomorrow at the Olympic Stadium. Cannavaro and his players have a clear goal: to play with determination, discipline, and initiative in front of the fans, creating confidence.
