Zinedine Zidane, the legendary midfielder of Juventus, Real Madrid, and the French national team, and former head coach of the "royal club," explained the reason for his decision to retire at the age of 34.
In an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport, Zidane stated that he made this decision consciously:
When I aimed to end my career after the match against Villarreal, it was a deliberate move. I didn't like going outside, staying in hotels. Even when you were at home, you had to go to the hotel for the meeting. That's why I decided to stop at 34. Of course, physically, I could have played for two or three more years, but constant trips and training camps were tiresome," Zidane said.
For information, Zinedine Zidane is currently unemployed. The legend himself stated that he dreams of managing the French national team.
