In the updated FIFA rankings released on October 17, the Uzbekistan national team dropped one position to 55th place. Among the teams of the Asian continent, Uzbekistan currently maintains 6th place.
According to the updated indicators, Japan retained 19th place with 1645.34 points. It is followed by Iran (21st place, 1618.28 points), the Republic of Korea (22nd place, 1593.92 points), Australia (25th place, 1584.02 points) and Qatar (52nd place, 1461.6 points).
The Uzbekistan national team currently has 1452.34 points, which is 0.97 points lower than the previous rating. This result pushed the Reds one step down.
At the same time, a change was also observed in the top of the world ranking: the Spanish national team took the leading position in the world for the first time since 2014. Argentina moved up to the second position, surpassing France.
Experts emphasize that the results of the upcoming matches will be of great importance for the Uzbekistan team - they will be decisive for regaining the opportunity to rise in the world rankings.
