Following the conclusion of the Neftchi vs. OKMK (1-0) match in the 25th round of the Super League, Fergana's head coach, Vitaliy Levchenko, spoke with journalists and shared his thoughts on the game.
According to the coach, this match was very nervous and difficult. According to him, at this stage of the championship, each team is fighting for points, and there are no easy opponents left.
"It was a very difficult and nervous game - everyone witnessed it. At the end of the championship, everyone is trying their best. Every team is thinking about scoring points. In the current situation, each match is worth six points for us. I congratulate my team on the victory. We will continue to work and move forward," Levchenko said.
When asked about the remaining 5 matchdays in the Super League and Neftchi's chances of winning the championship, the coach replied:
"We continue to fight. All teams in the top five are striving for the championship. At the same time, those below are also putting in all their effort to get points. Every match is a test for us. I think the championship is determined by character - the team with the strongest will wins."
He also provided information about the injured Anvar Gafurov:
"Doctors provided him with first aid and put ice on his shoulder. Now he will undergo a hardware inspection. We will provide more detailed information after the medical report is issued."
In response to the question of who to dedicate the victory to, the coach specifically acknowledged the team's fans:
"I dedicate this victory primarily to our fans who support us. They will be at the stadium in every game and give the team spirit. We are working to justify their trust," Levchenko said.
Journalists also inquired about rumors about him extending his contract with Neftchi for another two years. Levchenko has not yet said anything definite about this:
"Let's leave this question open for now. "Now all attention is focused on the championship matches," he said with a smile.
Thus, at the press conference, Vitaliy Levchenko noted that his team is in high spirits and is playing every game with enthusiasm. In his opinion, "Neftchi" will not stop fighting in the final rounds and will fight until the end for the championship.
