Uzbekistan's young defender Abdukodir Khusanov, who plays for Manchester City, has rejoined the team's general training sessions following an injury, according to mancity.com.
According to the club's official information, Khusanov injured his foot in the match against Arsenal a few weeks ago. After that, he underwent a recovery process under the supervision of doctors and followed all medical recommendations. Now the player has resumed full training with the team.
"Khusanov has significantly improved his physical condition in recent days. Most importantly, he developed self-confidence. However, it is too early to say that it is 100% ready. We are approaching it cautiously; we don't want to strain it," head coach Pep Guardiola said at a press conference.
Abdukodir did not participate in the match against Aston Villa. However, his recovery rate is being assessed positively, and he will be ready to help the team in the upcoming Premier League matches in the coming weeks.
It should be noted that, despite his young age, Khusanov quickly adapted to the main squad of the "City" academy and earned great trust from the coaching staff with his reliable play in the team's defensive line.
According to the club's medical team, he is close to a full recovery. If everything goes according to plan, the Uzbek defender will return to the field at the beginning of November.
Abdukodir Khusanov's reappearance is crucial not only for his home fans but also for the competition within City. The young defender is expected to return to the field and strengthen his position on the team with his high-level play.
