The well-known Russian coach Sergey Tashuyev commented on the future of PSG goalkeeper Matvey Safonov. The former Krasnodar goalkeeper is not getting playing time this season, as he is losing out in the competition with Lucas Chevalier.
"He made a great contribution to himself, to Krasnodar, and to our football in general. But now he should think more about playing."
"It is clear that other European clubs are interested in him," Tashuyev said in an interview with Sovetskiy Sport. Recently, there have been reports that the Parisian management is looking for an alternative goalkeeper to Safonov on the transfer market.
Safonov has played 17 matches for PSG, keeping a clean sheet in seven of them. Together with PSG, he has won the French championship, the Cup, the Super Cup, and the Champions League.
