Russian midfielder and "Monaco" footballer Aleksandr Golovin refused to transfer to a Saudi Arabian club. This was announced by the footballer's representative Aleksandr Klyuyev.
"We were contacted by a Saudi Arabian club: they asked if we were interested in playing there. For now, we gave a negative answer.
Which club? Not a minor one.
A leading team," Klyuyev said in an interview with the "RB Sport" portal. According to the representative, Golovin has come a long way and managed to play in the Champions League.
It was also noted that the Russian footballer wants to win a trophy with "Monaco". Golovin joined "Monaco" from Moscow's CSKA club in 2018.
Although he has not won any trophies since then, he has earned one silver and three bronze medals. Golovin’s current contract with "Monaco" is valid until the end of the 2028/29 season.
