Erling Haaland did not take part in City's League Cup match against Swansea due to health issues. On Friday, Pep Guardiola was asked at a press conference about the Norwegian footballer's readiness for the game.
"Is Haaland ready for the game? Yes.
What about Rodri? It's not certain yet, but I hope he will be on the pitch with us.
Rodri, like the other 18 players, wants to participate in the game. He has missed out several times, but we all know how important he is for our team," Guardiola told journalists.
Manchester City is currently fifth in the Premier League standings. Guardiola's team is 6 points behind leaders Arsenal.
