The press secretary of Real Sociedad, Yon Andre Munduate, explained the reasons for the substitution of the Russian midfielder Arsen Zakharyan during the La Liga match against Athletic Bilbao (3:2). "Arsen felt discomfort in the muscle at the back of his thigh, but so far no injury has been identified.
The coach substituted him as a precaution," the club representative’s words were quoted by Sport24. In the 2025/2026 season, the midfielder appeared in five matches and managed to score one goal.
After this victory, Real Sociedad has collected 12 points and now stands 13th in the Spanish championship league table. In the next round, the team will play away against Elche.
