Portuguese specialist Vitor Pereira commented on his dismissal as head coach of Wolverhampton. "It was an honor for me to manage Wolverhampton and to experience unique moments with this club and its fans.
I thank the club’s owners for their trust, and I am grateful to the players for their hard work and dedication over these months. I also want to thank the entire staff for welcoming me as a family member," said Pereira to journalist Ben Jacobs.
Pereira had been Wolverhampton’s head coach since December 2024. After ten rounds of the current season, the team was at the bottom of the competition table, having collected only two points.
The "Wolves" remain the only team in the Premier League this season yet to claim a victory.
