Chelsea footballer Romeo Lavia was forced to leave the field at the start of the Champions League match against Qarabag. Head coach Enzo Maresca substituted the Belgian player in the 8th minute and brought Moisés Caicedo on in his place.
"Lavia's injury is really unfortunate. He has not been able to maintain good match fitness for a long time.
It's too early to draw any clear conclusions, but I hope this injury is not serious. He has injured his quadriceps," Maresca said in an interview with Football.London.
The match between Qarabag and Chelsea ended in a 2-2 draw. Also, the London club will play against Wolverhampton at home in the Premier League on Saturday.
