Barcelona player Lamine Yamal spoke about the reaction of opposing fans after the match against Club Brugge. According to him, the fans’ whistling indicates his important role on the field.
“If opposing fans whistle at me, it shows that they know I am an important player. If I were an ordinary footballer, they wouldn’t do it,” Yamal said in a post-match interview.
He does not take such situations negatively; on the contrary, he sees it as motivation. “I feel that every action I take on the field is being watched by fans. This pushes me to play even better,” he said.
It is worth noting that the match between Barcelona and Club Brugge was played in intense conditions. Yamal’s active participation and effective actions were also assessed differently by fans.
