Madrid’s "Real" club has issued a statement on its official website regarding goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois’ injury. The 33-year-old Belgian player underwent a medical examination, which revealed an injury to the adductor muscle in his right leg.
The recovery timeline for Courtois has not yet been announced. It is worth noting that on Sunday, "Real" played to a draw (0-0) against "Rayo Vallecano" in the 11th round of La Liga.
However, Courtois played the entire 90 minutes in that match. Xabi Alonso’s team is currently leading the Spanish championship, three points ahead of "Barcelona."
