AC Milan has made a decision regarding the future of midfielder Luka Modric. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Rossoneri are planning to extend the contract of the 40-year-old Croatian footballer.
The final decision on Modric's future will not be made until spring, but the Milan management and coaching staff are keen to keep the experienced player in the team. The club is very satisfied with his current performance.
In the ongoing Serie A season, Modric has started in the main lineup for all 11 of Milan's matches. His current contract is valid until the end of the 2025/26 season and includes an option for renewal.
Modric has appeared in a total of 12 matches for Milan, scoring one goal and providing two assists.
