Portuguese football star Cristiano Ronaldo said in an online interview with CNN that his football career is nearing its end. The 39-year-old striker stated that he feels in great shape but admitted that he is in the final stage of his career.
“As I said before, I feel very good, I’m scoring goals, my speed is fine. I’m enjoying playing both for the national team and for Al-Nassr. But to be honest, my career will soon come to an end. I’ll play for another one or two years, that’s all,” Ronaldo said.
When asked whether the upcoming World Cup would be his last, he confirmed: “Of course, I’ll be 41 then. The big tournament will bring special moments for me. I don’t know yet, but my career is approaching its end,” he added.
As a reminder, Cristiano Ronaldo has been playing for Saudi Arabia’s Al-Nassr club since 2023. He remains one of the key players of the Portugal national team and this year celebrated the 20th anniversary of his professional career.
