Russia draws with Peru

The friendly match between the national teams of Russia and Peru in the BetBoom series ended with limited opportunities for scoring goals. However, Valery Karpin's team had excellent chances for victory, but Peruvian footballer Alex Valera managed to nullify them.

In the 18th minute, the visiting goalkeeper made a mistake in his penalty area, delivering the ball to Alexey Miranchuk. Miranchuk passed it to Aleksandr Golovin, and the team captain precisely struck into an empty net to open the score – 1:0.

In the second half, the Russian team created several dangerous moments. Alexey Batrakov passed the ball to Ivan Sergeev in the opponent's penalty area, but Sergeev's shot was impressively saved by the goalkeeper.

Additionally, Miranchuk made a long-distance strike, yet the goalkeeper once again showcased his skills. In the 82nd minute, Peru's forward Alex Valera launched a powerful shot from 35 meters, sending the ball into the bottom-left corner of the net.

Goalkeeper Matvey Safonov appeared unprepared for the situation and was unable to save his team in what seemed like a routine scenario – 1:1. The Russian national team is set to face another South American side, Chile, on November 15.
