Unai Simón Calls Courtois the Best Goalkeeper in the World

Unai Simon, the goalkeeper for the Spanish national team and Athletic Bilbao, has recognized Belgium's Thibaut Courtois as the best goalkeeper in the world. The 28-year-old goalkeeper made this statement during a press conference held ahead of the 2026 World Cup qualification match against Georgia.

"Without a doubt, Courtois is currently the best goalkeeper in the world. There is no one who can surpass him.

If Thibaut cannot save a shot, it means none of us could have saved it," Simon said in an interview with Diario AS. The match between Georgia and Spain will take place on Saturday, November 15.

Three days later, "La Roja" will face Turkey.
